MSR Distribution API and integration
MSR's feed is a small FTP drop, and the combination is what matters: a file that size is retrieved and processed almost as soon as it appears, so nearly all of the elapsed time between updates belongs to MSR's publishing rhythm rather than to our processing. The habit worth building is telling a quiet clock apart from a broken one. A long stretch with no movement on an MSR listing is far more likely to mean MSR has not published a new file than that a retrieval failed on our side.
What Project Parabellum normalizes from MSR Distribution
Project Parabellum normalizes every item in the MSR Distribution feed — manufacturer, model, caliber, and category — into a shared vocabulary, so the same UPC carried by MSR Distribution can be compared against the same UPC carried by any other distributor we sync, rather than compared only within MSR Distribution's own naming. Dealers who connect their own MSR Distribution credentials see account-specific availability on top of that; everyone else sees catalog breadth and stock presence.
