Orion is polled over a dealer API and carries a general-line catalog rather than a specialty one, which makes it useful on this hub in a specific way: it is often the second feed that also carries an item you first found somewhere else. That gives a dealer a corroborating on-hand position from an independent source instead of a single reading to either trust or doubt. Its pass runs mid-length, so the corroboration is usually about as current as the listing it is corroborating.
What Project Parabellum normalizes from Orion
Project Parabellum normalizes every item in the Orion feed — manufacturer, model, caliber, and category — into a shared vocabulary, so the same UPC carried by Orion can be compared against the same UPC carried by any other distributor we sync, rather than compared only within Orion's own naming. Dealers who connect their own Orion credentials see account-specific availability on top of that; everyone else sees catalog breadth and stock presence.
