RSR API and integration
RSR offers both a dealer API and FTP-delivered inventory files, and Project Parabellum consumes the API side, so what you read here is the answer to a request we made rather than a file someone published for us. Ordering through RSR's API is supported for dealers who connect their own RSR credentials. The dual transport is the detail worth carrying away from this page. A distributor that publishes files as well as answering calls can be integrated either way, and which way the integrator picked is what decides whether freshness is bounded by our schedule or by theirs.
What Project Parabellum normalizes from RSR
Project Parabellum normalizes every item in the RSR feed — manufacturer, model, caliber, and category — into a shared vocabulary, so the same UPC carried by RSR can be compared against the same UPC carried by any other distributor we sync, rather than compared only within RSR's own naming. Dealers who connect their own RSR credentials see account-specific availability on top of that; everyone else sees catalog breadth and stock presence.
