Zanders API and integration
Zanders publishes catalog and inventory updates as flat files on its own interval, and Project Parabellum collects them at each scheduled retrieval. That arrangement has a consequence dealers rarely think about until it bites: there is no way to ask Zanders about one product on its own, because nothing in this feed travels alone. A corrected quantity waits for the next file that happens to carry it, so the smallest thing that can change on this page is a whole publication rather than a row.
What Project Parabellum normalizes from Zanders
Project Parabellum normalizes every item in the Zanders feed — manufacturer, model, caliber, and category — into a shared vocabulary, so the same UPC carried by Zanders can be compared against the same UPC carried by any other distributor we sync, rather than compared only within Zanders's own naming. Dealers who connect their own Zanders credentials see account-specific availability on top of that; everyone else sees catalog breadth and stock presence.
